I started Gardner Controls because I have always had an entrepreneurial spirit, and it was my goal to follow in the footsteps of my family and start my own business. In 2015 I decided to make the move and created Gardner Controls LLC. For the past 13 years I have had the opportunity to work on many challenging projects around the world, and interact with many engineers, project managers, and automation specialists in the facilities that I’ve worked in. The best part of controls engineering is that I get to work on new and interesting projects all the time. I always tell people that the most important part of the job is being able to figure things out. When others look for answers, you have to be the one who can figure out solutions. It is extremely satisfying to be a part of a project from start to finish, and get to see the system that you designed and commissioned be installed, started up, and then running production. Coordinating a large project with many challenges and finishing on time while making sure the customer is happy can be stressful, but the result in the end makes the long days worth it.
